Heritage Action: Idaho’s H. 421 Protects Kids from Gender Ideology, Gov. Little Must Sign

WASHINGTON—Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Idahoans, released the following statement from Director of State Advocacy Catherine Gunsalus commending the Idaho Legislature for passing H. 421, legislation that protects kids and combats radical gender ideology by accurately defining sex and gender:

“As radical activists try to replace science and commonsense with progressive gender ideology in sports, education, and medicine, Idaho is fighting back with H. 421. The Left would rather put Idaho’s women and children in danger than accept the biological differences between men and women. These basic facts are obvious to the majority of Americans, but somehow lost upon the modern Left in our country.

“H. 421 establishes a precise and uniform biological definition of sex based on facts, not on feelings or flawed philosophy, protecting female athletes and all students in Idaho. Heritage Action applauds Rep. Julianne Young for sponsoring this legislation and Idaho lawmakers for standing up for the truth. We urge Governor Little to swiftly sign the bill.”

The opposition to radical gender ideology is growing with each passing year. More than 65% of Americans oppose access to puberty-blocking medication for children, and almost 70% of Americans do not believe male athletes should be allowed to compete against girls and women.
