Press Releases · Nov 29, 2021

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Today, Heritage Action released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson announcing a new field office in Pittsburgh led by Regional Coordinator Craig Dixon.

“We are excited for Craig to join the Heritage Action team as we work to expand our conservative grassroots efforts in Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. Craig is a veteran of the conservative movement and brings a diverse skill set to this role in leading thousands of dedicated Heritage Action activists in advancing conservative principles across the northeast region,” Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson said.

Craig leads Heritage Action’s grassroots operations in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey and is based in Pittsburgh. In this role, he is responsible for educating and empowering grassroots activists to advocate for their conservative principles. Craig has been a part of the conservative movement for more than a decade. While most of his recent work has been in communications, he has also served in the field as a regional field coordinator for Leadership Institute. He is also a veteran of several federal campaigns.

Background:

  • In June of this year, Heritage Action supported Pennsylvania legislators in the push to mandate a voter ID requirement. “Voter ID requirements are a common-sense first step to protecting our elections. They are supported by 74% of Pennsylvania voters,” Jessica Anderson said.

  • In 2020, Heritage Action led a major grassroots effort focused in Pennsylvania and three other key states. Project 2020 was a multi-layered, nationwide effort that grew the conservative movement and advocated for conservative policy in the areas where it matters most. Based on our polling work throughout 2019, Heritage Action built a conservative coalition in these states focused on culture, immigration, the future of work and education, and the economy to help ensure conservative policies prevail in 2020 and beyond. More info on Project 2020 is located here.

Heritage Action is a national grassroots organization with two million conservative activists nationwide and nearly 33,000 grassroots activists in Pennsylvania. Heritage Action advances the policies of our partner organization, The Heritage Foundation, and works to make them a reality.
