WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Georgians, released the following statement from Janae Stracke, Vice President of Field Operations, commending the passage of SB 233, legislation that would expand education opportunities for Georgia families through education scholarship accounts for alternative education options.
“Students from all backgrounds deserve the chance to succeed in school. With today's vote, the Georgia Senate has taken a significant and positive step toward expanding education freedom for students and parents in the Peach State. SB 233 would give Georgia parents greater access to the tools they need for their children to thrive through Education Savings Accounts they can use to pay for private school tuition, tutoring, curricula, textbooks, and other education-related expenses.
Heritage Action commends conservatives in the Georgia Senate for making strides to expand education freedom. The Georgia House of Representatives should continue to work on this bill to make as many students eligible as possible, and we stand ready with Georgia parents to work with state representatives to advance Education Savings Accounts to Governor Kemp's desk.”
