WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Floridians, released the following statement from Janae Stracke, Vice President of Field Operations, commending the Florida Legislature for passing HB 1, legislation that would enhance education freedom measures by expanding eligibility for Education Savings Accounts to all K-12 students.

“Parents know what is best for their children, especially when it comes to their education. By passing HB 1, the Florida Legislature has expanded eligibility for Education Savings Accounts to all K-12 students, allowing families across the state to have the resources and flexibility they need for their children to succeed academically. Florida’s bill should be a model for the rest of the country on expanding education freedom nationwide.

Florida has become the nation’s leader in parental rights and education freedom because of their policies that prioritize student success and give parents the opportunity to make the best decisions for their children. Heritage Action thanks House Speaker Paul Renner, Rep. Kaylee Tuck, Sen. Corey Simon, and Senate President Kathleen Passidomo for getting HB 1 to the Governor’s desk. We look forward to Governor DeSantis signing this historic legislation into law as the latest victory in the education freedom and parental rights movement in the Sunshine State.”
