As many states across the country are passing election integrity efforts to instill confidence in the electoral process—making it easy to vote and hard to cheat—something very different has been going on in Washington.
Joe Biden and Democrat leadership in the House and Senate have pushed several bills in 2021 that would not only extinguish the efforts of the states, but federalize our elections and rig the rules in the Left’s favor. It is a blatant effort to ensure a partisan and progressive majority is elected for years to come.
Democratic Leadership have previously introduced and voted on two blatantly partisan election bills:
H.R. 1 / S. 1 - The For the People Act (A better name would be the “Corrupt Politicians Act”)
H.R. 4 - The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (aka, the “Pelosi Power Grab”)
H.R. 1 / S. 1 is so blatantly partisan that it cannot even garner the support of every Senate Democrat. Opposition to the bill is the only bipartisan position.
Now, Democrat leadership has put forward S. 2747, a so-called “compromise” bill—but don’t fall for the rhetoric. This bill is only a compromise between the Left and the Far-Left. S. 2747 would still gut the voter protections that state legislatures have put in place.
As with the previous attempts by the Left to rig elections in their favor, S. 2747 should be soundly rejected by every conservative.
