56% of Americans Favor Repeal of Obamacare
It may have been a few months since the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments regarding the constitutionality of President Obama’s signature legislation, but to the American people, the issue is still very much in mind.
We still have a month or two before the Court issues their ruling, but no matter how they rule, the rest of the country has already made up their mind: repeal! Fifty-six percent of Americans want the law repealed, according to a new report from Rasmussen, including 46% who strongly favor repeal. Just 37% are opposed to repeal, including only 26% who strongly oppose.
Whether the Supreme Court overturns the entire law, the individual mandate or neither, the law has a mountain of unintended consequences that will bankrupt this country if it is not repealed in its entirety. Congress should continue to work towards repeal, even if the President issues a veto threat and Harry Reid continues to do nothing, because the American people want this law taken off the books.
