54% of Americans Favor Repeal of Obamacare
The latest Rasmussen report shows that 54% of likely voters oppose President Obama’s signature legislation – the government takeover of the healthcare industry. This includes 41% who strongly favor repealing the law. Now, look at that again; a full 75% of those who oppose the healthcare law strongly oppose it.
On the other side of the spectrum, just 40% oppose repealing the law, including 25% who strongly oppose repeal. That means that 62% of those who support the law strongly oppose repealing it.
The polarization created by this law will make the Supreme Court decision difficult for both sides, and President Obama and his allies are already ramping up the public pressure, trying to influence Justice Kennedy and Chief Justice Roberts. No matter the ultimate decision, both sides will only become more entrenched in their positions. The decision won’t change the fact that the law will explode our deficits, crush our healthcare system and cripple our children and grandchildren’s future. For those reasons, it must be fully repealed, no matter what the Supreme Court decides.
