WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Hoosiers, released the following statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson urging the Senate to pass HB 1334, legislation that would require voter ID for absentee ballots.
“Hoosiers must be able to trust that their elections are secure and fair. The Indiana General Assembly has an opportunity to implement a key improvement to the state’s election system by passing HB 1334, legislation which would require voter ID for absentee ballots. This legislation would ensure that every citizen has a voice at the ballot box without adding any additional burdens for voters.
Heritage Action thanks Rep. Timothy Wesco for authoring HB 1334 and working to ensure that it is easy to vote and hard to cheat in the Hoosier State. We urge the Indiana Senate to pass the bill and send this important legislation to Governor Holcomb’s desk.”
