WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of South Carolinians, released the following statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson commending the passage of H. 3774 and applauding South Carolina lawmakers for prioritizing legislation to protect life.
“In the post-Roe era, state legislatures are more important than ever before when it comes to protecting life and defending the unborn. Heritage Action applauds the South Carolina House of Representatives for passing H. 3774 by a vast margin, proving they are dedicated to the defense of life in the Palmetto State.
With current law in South Carolina allowing the killing of unborn babies up to about 5 months of pregnancy, the state has become a tourist destination for abortion. We urge the House and Senate to prioritize work on this vital issue and to send legislation protecting mothers and babies to Governor McMaster's desk."
