WASHINGTON — Heritage Action, a national conservative grassroots organization, today released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson about the latest infrastructure package in the Senate:
“With the recent announcement of a $3.5 trillion partisan budget resolution, Democratic Senators have abandoned any pretense of negotiating in good faith. After Republicans have worked in good faith for months in pursuit of a “bipartisan” budget deal, Democrats have simply advanced every one of their priorities in an extreme, Bernie Sanders-backed partisan reconciliation package. That’s not negotiation — it’s bulldozing.
The $1.2 trillion package was already troubling, but now that Democrats have tied it to the larger, far-Left reconciliation package, no Republican should support either part of this package. Senators should oppose the strong-arm tactics of Sen. Schumer and Sen. Sanders. The Left has acted in bad faith and no Senator should feel an obligation to play into their charade.”
