WASHINGTON — Today, Heritage Action, a conservative organization with two million grassroots activists nationwide, including thousands of Kentuckians, released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson praising SB 205, which was signed into law. The bill will protect Kentucky jobs and investments from discrimination against energy companies and arbitrary Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.
By prioritizing the jobs and interests of citizens over partisan ideology and ‘woke’ ESG standards, SB 205 both upholds Kentuckians’ values and protects jobs in the state.
Kentucky will now be able to bolster support for its energy sector by protecting the state’s contracts and financial holdings from anti-energy financial institutions. With traditional energy responsible for one out of every fifty jobs in the state, we commend Kentucky’s elected leaders for the passage of this landmark legislation.
