WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Kansans, released the following statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson urging the Senate to pass H.B. 2238, legislation that returns fairness to women’s sports by ensuring that student athletes only compete against other athletes of the same sex.
“Forcing women to compete against male athletes strips women of opportunities on and off the field. By denying the biological differences between men and women, the Left is not only attempting to take away women’s abilities to set records and earn scholarships, but they are also putting women and girls in physical danger. With the passage of H.B. 2238, student athletes would only have to compete against other athletes of the same sex, ensuring that sports will be both fair and safe.
Heritage Action urges the Kansas Senate to pass H.B. 2238 and thanks Rep. Barbara Wasinger for introducing this key legislation. This bill should serve as a model as other states look to protect their women and girls from the Left’s radical gender ideology. We will continue fighting alongside grassroots Americans to further protect women and girls in Kansas and beyond.”
