WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Hoosiers, released the following statement from Janae Stracke, Vice President of Field Operations, praising the Indiana General Assembly’s passage of SB 480 and urging Governor Holcomb to sign the bill into law and protect minors from dangerous cross-sex hormones and experimental surgeries that remove healthy body parts.
“Hoosier children suffering with gender confusion deserve compassionate care, not experimental surgeries that remove healthy body parts and dangerous cross-sex hormones that cause permanent harm. While the Left pushes radical gender ideology on children across the United States, SB 480 would protect children by preventing physicians from performing these experimental surgeries and administering harmful cross-sex hormones.
Heritage Action commends Senator Tyler Johnson for introducing SB 480 and taking proactive steps to protect Hoosier children from medical experimentation, as well as the Indiana General Assembly for passing this legislation and preventing children from experiencing irreversible harm. Governor Holcomb should quickly sign this bill to protect children from irreversible damage that will impact them for the rest of their lives."
