House Votes to Stop Obama's, Dangerous Unlawful Amnesty

Press Releases · Jan 13, 2015

Washington - Today, the House passed a bill (H.R. 240) to fund the Department of Homeland Security and roll back President Obama's dangerous and unlawful actions, which include granting quasi-legal status, work permits and Social Security numbers to those who are in the country illegally. Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham:

"Heritage Action applauds the Republican-controlled House for taking swift action to prohibit President Obama's dangerous diversion of homeland security resources. President Obama's dangerous and unlawful amnesty ties the hands of those attempting to keep our nation safe. Today's vote is just the first step, though. To successfully block the President, this must be an all-hands-on-deck effort. Americans expect and deserve no less."
