WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Texans, released the following statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson, urging the Texas House to empower parents and vote NO on the budget amendment that would prohibit funds from being used to expand education freedom.
“Parents want the freedom and flexibility to customize their children’s education to fit their individual academic needs and values. Expanding education freedom allows Texas students to reach their full academic potential without creating a financial burden on their families. The Texas House should vote NO on any amendment to the budget that would prohibit education freedom expansion.
Heritage Action calls on House lawmakers to uphold their commitment to Texas children and families by voting to expand education freedom throughout the Lone Star State. We urge the House to consider and pass HB 5267, legislation that would establish Education Savings Accounts that gives parents the tools they need to provide alternative education options for their children.”
