Washington, D.C.—Heritage Action applauds Senate Republicans for advancing the SAVE America Act to the floor after months of sustained grassroots pressure—marking a major step toward restoring the integrity of every U.S. citizen’s ballot—and urges them to keep up the fight.
With the Senate now considering the legislation, Heritage Action is issuing a warning that continued Democrat obstruction will come with a political price.
“71 percent of Americans support the SAVE America Act. The Senate must pass it—period,” said Kevin Roberts, President of Heritage Action. “Democrats are blocking a bill backed by more than 7 in 10 Americans. That’s more than obstruction; it’s a willful rejection of American values and our founding principles.”
Heritage Action urges continued unity among Senate Republicans to see the bill through to President Trump’s desk.
“Champions like Rep. Chip Roy and Sen. Mike Lee are standing with everyday Americans, and the Senate must remain united to finish the job,” Roberts added. “There is real momentum behind this effort and a real political cost for anyone who tries to stop it.”
As debate continues, Heritage Action is calling on senators to keep debating the bill on the floor until it passes, while urging Americans nationwide to continue holding their lawmakers accountable.
