WASHINGTON—Today, Heritage Action, a conservative organization with two million grassroots activists nationwide, released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson following the release of The Heritage Foundation’s comprehensive report, “Combating Big Tech’s Totalitarianism: A Road Map,” and the response from the grassroots.
“Countering Big Tech’s totalitarianism is at the forefront of the minds of millions of Americans across the country. We continue to witness the chokehold Silicon Valley has over our daily lives as Big Tech crushes free speech, censors political opponents, and exploits our basic rights. For too long, Big Tech has hidden behind outdated government policy as it wields unprecedented power over American citizens on behalf of liberal elites.
With this report, The Heritage Foundation has laid out a roadmap to hold Big Tech accountable and stop the threat these companies pose to Americans everywhere. Heritage Action will activate our two million conservative grassroots activists to advance these policy recommendations on Capitol Hill and in state capitals nationwide.
The solutions outlined here today are the beginning of a new era whereby Americans restore the balance of power between “We the People” and the role technology plays in our daily life. We look forward to working with lawmakers and Americans across the country to once again protect our freedoms.”
