Washington -- Today, the House Republican's national security task force released its policy recommendations. Last December, Speaker Paul D. Ryan promised to "show what we would do, what our ideal policy would be." Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham:
"The task force report reinforces many of the conservative critiques of the Obama-Clinton foreign policy and national security posture, and offers a wide ranging blueprint focused on how to achieve success. The most encouraging element is the report's explicit acknowledgement that the legislative branch is a co-equal branch of government. Our national security cannot be left to an overreaching executive branch filled with overzealous, left-wing bureaucrats. Heritage Action looks forward to working with House Republicans to reassert their constitutional authority in protecting our nation and promoting liberty."
