Heritage Action Praises Legislature for Protecting Kentucky Elections from Big-Tech Billionaires

Press Releases · Mar 25, 2022

WASHINGTON — Today, Heritage Action, a conservative organization with two million grassroots activists nationwide, including thousands of Kentuckians, released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson praising the Kentucky legislature for passing HB 301. The bill will ensure election administrators only receive public funding and protect Kentucky’s elections from the influence of outside private money. The bill became law on March 24th without the governor’s signature.

Kentuckians deserve to have fair elections free from the outside influence of Big Tech billionaires. Heritage Action thanks the Kentucky House and Senate for passing HB 301 and ensuring Kentucky’s elections are protected from manipulation and private money.

We applaud the hard work of the legislators who voted to advance this common-sense reform. Kentucky ranks 11th on the Heritage Foundation’s Election Integrity Scorecard, and we commend the legislature for continuing to strengthen Kentucky’s laws.
