Heritage Action: Senators Must Pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act

Press Releases · Jun 30, 2025

WASHINGTONHeritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with 2.5 million grassroots activists nationwide, released the following statements today from Heritage Action President Dr. Kevin Roberts and Vice President of Government Relations Steve Chartan, urging lawmakers to pass the Senate Amendment to H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act:

Dr. Kevin Roberts said:

“The One Big Beautiful Bill Act delivers what Americans have long demanded: the beginning of a return to common sense, to accountability, and to a government that serves the people, not the other way around.
At Heritage, we don’t settle for symbolism—we fight for substance. The House took a strong step forward, achieving many conservative wins for the American people. Now, the Senate has sharpened that work. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is not just an ambitious compilation of good policy, it’s a turning point towards a better future for the American people.”

Steve Chartan said:

“Heritage Action applauded key legislative wins in the House-passed reconciliation package and urged the Senate to make critical improvements to the bill. We are pleased to see many priorities reflected in the Senate version—and Heritage Action urges senators to support the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
It is critical to pass the best package possible—as soon as possible—to jumpstart America’s golden age. Heritage Action’s grassroots army of conservatives will continue to hold lawmakers accountable for delivering on the promises made to voters.”

The Senate’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act contains significant wins for the American people and advances key pieces of the America First agenda, including:

  • Extending and expanding tax cuts for American families,

  • Making permanent major pro-growth reforms in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act,

  • Stepping up border security and immigration enforcement,

  • Rebuilding America’s military and restoring our national defense,

  • Blocking taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood,

  • Strengthening SNAP work requirements,

  • Eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicaid by creating work requirements, tightening eligibility, and limiting state financing schemes, and

  • Scaling back wasteful Green New Deal subsidies forced onto taxpayers in Biden’s deceptively named Inflation Reduction Act.

There is far more work to be done to ensure lawmakers keep the promises they made to voters. To that end, Heritage Action urges the administration and Congress to act immediately to implement priorities that did not make it into this legislation. 80 million Americans voted for President Trump’s agenda: spending cuts, mass deportations, a rebuilt military, and an end to the corrupt administrative state in D.C. Congress must continue to work to use every opportunity to make this agenda a reality.
