WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with 2.5 million activists nationwide, today released the following statement from President Kevin Roberts and Executive Vice President Ryan Walker applauding key wins in President Donald J. Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act:
“Heritage Action urges the House to pass the historic ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ as it makes significant strides to advance President Trump’s key legislative goals.
Heritage Action congratulates Speaker Johnson and Chairman Arrington for their work and we commit to building on this success by ensuring that needed improvements are included in the bill as it moves to the Senate.
More than 80 million Americans voted for President Trump’s agenda last November, and our army of grassroots conservatives commend House Republicans for their efforts, and our Heritage Action Sentinels will continue to hold Congress accountable.”
Heritage Action is pleased to see the legislation include a number of wins, including:
Avoiding a large tax hike on American families and businesses,
Providing much-needed funding for immigration enforcement and border security,
Ending Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) tax credits,
Reversing the Biden electric vehicle mandate,
Defunding big abortion providers like Planned Parenthood,
Strengthening SNAP work requirements,
Stopping federal Medicaid funding for transgender surgeries, and
Eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicaid by creating work requirements and tightening eligibility which will—among other things—get 1.4 million illegal immigrants off the program.
This legislation includes policy victories that would provide real relief and represent significant progress in delivering on what the American people voted for in November. It can and should be built upon as the process continues by:
- Repealing all of the IRA subsidies, starting immediately, so energy is cheaper and more reliable.
