Washington—Heritage Action for America today released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson, congratulating Heritage Action alumnus Russell Vought on his successful confirmation as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Russ Vought, a true public servant and an example to so many conservatives. From his years at Heritage Action to his time on the Hill and in the Trump Administration, Russ has been fighting for the American people for over two decades. The Senate was right to confirm him, and the President was right to nominate him.
The Office of Management and Budget is one of the most important pieces of the Administration, and Russ has been critical to its success under President Trump. The OMB Director position is critical for ensuring that the President’s agenda is implemented across the administration, and under Russ’s leadership as Acting Director the office has successfully slashed regulations, prepared responsible budgets, promoted border security, and enacted more successful policies than I can count. I look forward to seeing his continued success.
