WASHINGTON—Today, members of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) elected Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) as the committee’s next chairman.
Heritage Action Executive Vice President Ryan Walker released the following statement:
“Congratulations to Rep. August Pfluger on being named the next Chairman of the Republican Study Committee. The RSC will be a pivotal institution in the 119th Congress to advance conservative policies. Rep. Pfluger is the right leader at the right time to drive consensus among the Republican conference and create innovative legislative ideas to achieve America first policy goals.
“The Republican Study Committee has been a consistent, powerful force in championing conservative priorities in the House of Representatives. The Committee shares a rich legacy with the Heritage Foundation, as both were organized by the same individuals.
“Heritage Action looks forward to continuing our work alongside the RSC as we advance President Trump’s conservative agenda over the next two years.”
