WASHINGTON — Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson made the following statement concerning Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to pull the floor vote on H.R. 3684, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, from the House schedule tonight.
“Tonight, Speaker Pelosi canceled the floor vote on part one of President Biden’s tax and spending plan because she does not have the votes to pass it. This news is a win for the taxpayers, families, and workers who have fought the Biden spending spree from day one, but the fight is far from over. As President Biden and Congressional Democrats continue to push their harmful agenda by any means necessary, Americans will keep turning up the pressure.
As inflation surges to the highest level in 13 years and the national debt approaches $30 trillion, Americans are growing sick and tired of Washington's out-of-control spending problem. Any member of Congress who wants to stand up for the taxpaying Americans that they represent must whole-heartedly reject the Pelosi-Biden agenda.”
