WASHINGTON – Today, Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson following the Georgia primary elections.
Georgia’s record-setting turnout has completely debunked the Left’s lies about election security and the state’s new voting law. Despite the Left’s claims that this law would create voter suppression, Tuesday’s record-breaking turnout displayed the efficacy of the new law and brought further proof that the Left’s efforts to smear the law were merely a political narrative. Instead, what we saw in Georgia was trust restored to the ballot box and all Georgians making their voice heard.
For more proof, just look at Pennsylvania. Georgia made it easy to vote and hard to cheat, and we knew the results just hours after polls closed. Pennsylvania did neither, and we are still waiting over a week later. Gov. Wolf actually vetoed a bill that would have fixed the state’s issues with mail-in ballots. We call on Pennsylvania and other states across the country to follow Georgia’s lead and expand election integrity measures to secure our elections.
