Corker says Obama Violated Corker-Cardin Law on Iran

Press Releases · Sep 8, 2015

Washington - Today, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) - the co-author of the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, commonly referred to as Corker-Cardin - acknowledged lawmakers "don't have all the documents" pertaining to the nuclear agreement with Iran. For emphasis, Corker added "There's no question that two of the documents aren't here." The Obama administration's failure to submit those side agreements is the reason why the House is no longer pursuing the disapproval process outlined by Corker-Cardin. Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham:

"Moving forward with a vote on the disapproval resolution would have validated the Obama administration's blatant disregard of the law. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) and House conservatives deserve credit for not accepting this administration's willful disregard for the law and our Constitution. It is time for Mitch McConnell's Senate to follow suit."
