WASHINGTON – Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with two million grassroots activists, including thousands of Utahns, released the following statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson encouraging the Utah State Legislature to pass H.B. 215, legislation that would give Utah’s students and families access to scholarships for alternative education options.
“Utah parents deserve to be able to make decisions that provide the best education for their children. By passing H.B. 215, the Utah State Legislature would give parents and families the tools they need to expand education opportunities for students of all backgrounds. With the scholarship created by this legislation, state funding would follow the students and allow families to choose the education institution that best fits their child’s individual needs.
Heritage Action thanks Representative Candice Pierucci for sponsoring this legislation and applauds the conservatives who are helping to bring Utah a step closer to education freedom. We encourage the Legislature to continue pushing forward with these efforts to pass H.B. 215 and increase education opportunities for all of Utah’s students and families.”
