Washington - Heritage Action released the following statement from Vice President Jessica Anderson in response to the Trump Administration's coronavirus supplemental funding request:
Congress should prioritize the Trump administration’s request for $2.5 billion in supplemental funding to combat the coronavirus by granting the request immediately and using offsetting spending reductions from lower-priority areas to pay for it. Given the nature of the request and the sudden need, Congress should not play politics by adding unrelated policy riders or additional funding to the supplemental, which will delay billions in funding for the prevention of a potentially urgent public health crisis.
