Bidenflation Hits 40-Year High — Build Back Broke Will Make it Worse

Press Releases · Dec 10, 2021

WASHINGTON — Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the Consumer Price Index rose to 6.8% in November, the highest since 1982, while a new Congressional Budget Office report showed that President Biden’s “Build Back Better” bill would likely add $3 trillion to the deficit over the next ten years alone when its radical policies are made permanent. Heritage Action released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson responding to the news:

“The soaring inflation happening today is a direct result of President Biden’s out-of-control spending and anti-worker policies. By recklessly spending trillions of taxpayer dollars in record time, the Biden administration has raised prices for everything from gas to groceries to rent, and the American people are suffering.

America has not seen inflation this dire since the end of Jimmy Carter’s presidency 40 years ago. Yet Biden is working to double down on his failed tax-and-spend agenda with his Build Back Broke bill. Just today, a new CBO analysis showed the bill would spend trillions of dollars on radical, Left-wing interests while making basic goods unaffordable for American families, contrary to Biden’s false claims that the bill will cost “zero dollars.” Congress should put Americans first and reject the Bidenflation agenda.”
