"NO" on S. 1660, the American Jobs Act
"NO" on S. 1660, the American Jobs Act
This week, the Senate will vote on S. 1660, the American Jobs Act of 2011 (AJA), President Obama's jobs plan modified with the 5.6 percent millionaire's surtax as proposed by Senate Democrats. The surtax is yet another job-killing proposal. Enacting permanent tax increases to pay for temporary make-work jobs will not jumpstart our economy or create the type of private sector jobs our economy needs.
Heritage Action opposes the American Jobs Act and will include the bill as a key vote in our scorecard.
