"NO" on Nomination of John Bryson

Tonight, the Senate may vote on the nomination of John Bryson to serve as the Secretary of Commerce. Mr. Bryson's past positions on global warming and domestic energy production are concerning. Also of concern, in light of Solyndra, is Mr. Bryson's tenure as board chairman of BrightSource Energy, a California-based solar company that received a $1.37 billion loan guarantee from the stimulus. Mr. Bryson also founded the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Heritage Action opposes the nomination of Alison Nathan and will include the vote on her nomination as a key vote on our scorecard.
