"NO" on the Menendez-Isakson Amendment
The Senate could vote tonight on a Menendez-Isakson amendment to restore the recently expired high maximum loan amounts that the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) can insure and which Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the GSEs) can purchase. Diverting more mortgage loans to the FHA and away form the private sector will taxpayers further at risk.
Heritage Action opposes the Menendez-Isakson amendment and will include it as a key vote in our scorecard.
