"NO" on Economic Development Revitalization Act (S. 782)
"NO" on Economic Development Revitalization Act (S. 782)
This week, the Senate will vote on S. 782, the Economic Development Revitalization Act, which would reauthorize funding for the Economic Development Administration through 2015. S. 782 will cost $1.5 billion through 2016 and an additional $760 million after that. Although the program purports to give financial aid to economically distressed areas, it is really nothing more than a mask for political pet projects.
Heritage Action opposes S. 782 and will include it as a key vote in our scorecard.
