"NO" on CLOTURE on Nomination of Goodwin Liu
Thursday, the Senate is likely to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Goodwin Liu to serve on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Liu believes that the judiciary should be a "culturally situated interpreter of social meaning." Among many additional concerns, he also believes in distributive justice and that people have a constitutional right to welfare.
Heritage Action opposes the nomination of Goodwin Liu and will include the vote on clotureas a key vote in our scorecard.
