"NO" on Appropriations Measures Exceeding Ryan Budget Level
In May, the House passed the Ryan budget, which proposed sweeping changes that would set our nation on a more sustainable and prosperous course. It was the only budget to pass either chamber of Congress. Unfortunately, both chambers are now considering/discussing multiple appropriation measures—a so-called minibus—that exceed the discretionary spending caps put forth by the Ryan budget. Heritage Action supports the funding levels in the Ryan budget, not the inflated levels in the August debt deal.
Heritage Action opposes any appropriation measure that exceeds the Ryan budget levels and reserve the right to include those measures as key votes in our scorecard.
