CO-SPONSORSHIP of the GSE Bailout Elimination and Taxpayer Protection Act

In March, Representative Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) and Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) introduced the GSE Bailout Elimination and Taxpayer Protection Act (H.R. 1182 / S. 693). The legislation would end taxpayer-funded bailouts of both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and put the companies on the path towards privatization.
