Bureaucrats, supported by activist scientists and radical leftists, have weaponized federal agencies like the EPA to dictate how Americans cook, heat their homes, and drive to work, all under the false banner of so-called “climate justice.” Now, President Trump is putting a stop to it.
A new EPA rule would repeal greenhouse gas emissions regulations for motor vehicles and engines that were based on the Obama-era “Endangerment Finding,” a cornerstone of the radical climate agenda. The Endangerment Finding, issued in 2009, claimed that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases pose an immediate and existential threat to human health. The EPA is now seeking comments on whether greenhouse gas emissions impact climate change, and what new scientific findings and studies have been made since 2009.
Countless regulations that devastated American energy and raised prices for families through regulations under the Clean Air Act were based on faulty climate science. These regulations have been squeezing gas powered and even hybrid cars out of the market, and forcing an increase in the sales of electric-vehicles (EVs) in order to achieve an overall net carbon emission reduction. In addition to rescinding the Endangerment Finding, this proposed rule would also remove all existing regulations that require new motor vehicles to comply with emissions standards.
President Trump is cutting through the Left’s lies and unleashing American manufacturing. Rescinding emissions standards that were based on the Endangerment Finding:
Makes cars more affordable. Car manufacturers no longer have to make electric vehicles in order to meet emissions requirements. As of July 2025, electric vehicles were on average $8,000 more expensive than gas-powered cars.
Allows families to make more summer road trips. The average range of EVs is 170 miles shorter than the average range of a gas powered car, making long-distance traveling harder.
Leads to less money for Communist China. The lithium and other rare earth metals needed for EV batteries are primarily sourced from our most dangerous political rival, Communist China. Additionally, 68% or more of EV car batteries are produced by just six Communist Chinese Corporations.
Saves Americans money. Repealing these regulations is expected to save Americans $54 billion in costs annually through the repeal of all greenhouse gas standards
