SAVE our elections

My name is [NAME] and I am a constituent from [CITY, STATE].

I am calling to urge Rep. Lance Gooden to support H.R. 22, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. This bill introduced by Representative Chip Roy would ensure that states require proof of citizenship before registering individuals to vote.

While citizenship is already required to vote, many states have legal loopholes that allow non-citizens to vote.

For example, many states accept drivers’ licenses as proof of citizenship, but do not require proof of citizenship to acquire a drivers’ license.

This makes it impossible to tell who is really eligible to vote in our elections.

Our republic cannot survive if the people lose faith in the accuracy of our election results. We must guarantee that only American citizens vote in American elections.

This bill is particularly important now because nearly 10 million illegal immigrants have arrived in the U.S. since 2021.

The SAVE Act gives us confidence that the results of our elections are in fact representing the will of the American people, and not the will of people from around the world.
