Action Alert: Watch and Share “Protecting Obamacare. Not Veterans.”

President Obama, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) 13% and congressional Democrats continue to play politics. They are willing to oppose bills they support — like funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs — in order to prolong a shutdown of their own creation.

As Heritage Action’s CEO Michael A. Needham said:

“This cynical political strategy may play well at Democrat campaign events, but it only serves to reinforce what many Americans already knew: President Obama and his political allies care only about protecting a failed law that is hurting the country, not about protecting the people they’re supposed to represent.”

President Obama and Democrats in the Senate are willing to play political games and keep the government shutdown no matter who it harms, even if it is World War II veterans. The White House said that they were willing to continue the shutdown because they were “winning”. To them this is just a game.

President Obama and the Senate need to defund Obamacare and end the government shutdown. Help us carry this message by watching and sharing this video with your peers.

  1. The game here is being played by all of you. Who do you think you are! Who gave you the right to try to control our government? Scum

    • Hey not sure what you mean there but we the people are supposed to control our government. The constitution was written to protect us from the Federal Government. Bill of Rights also the Federal Government was never meant to control the people. When the government controls the people you then have tyranny. When the people control the government you have Liberty, Freedom.

  2. Affordable care act – Designed by Republicans, passed by democrats, all to help uninsured Americans. We already spend trillions upon trillions of dollars in past wars. Its time we help our fellow Americans in need. Lets defund Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lybia, Syria ! There’s your real problem right there buddy! JM

  3. This is a good idea, but has a better chance of happening after a few months of Obamacare registration, while we’re looking at budget cuts. I think there will be pressures from all sides if we compromise now and take the compromise of forcing the administration into Obamacare without subsidies, and then come with the masterplan for when the deadline of the CR hits in January of February. I think once more and more Americans see how bad this is, how high the rates are, and how much the average Americans are losing, it will collapse under it’s own weight and a truly widespread public outcry.

  4. the Unaffordable Care Act will collapse on its own weight, but that’s what Obama wants. He is out to destroy us economically. As a life-long Republican, I am pissed. I want people to see we are a one party system governed only by an out of control executive. One way to change it it to cut into 50% of their funds. Please support the formation of the TEA PARTY, and defund the GOP. Abe Lincoln did it to the Whigs in 1858, and he became the first Republican Pres. in 1860. Cruz, Lee, Stephens, or Rand Paul could do the same. There enough people like me who are fed up with both parties and the games they play to bolster Obama. End the GOP today, and banish Karol Rove, the Obama implant for GOP strategy.

  5. If the National TEA PARTY were formed in early 2014, they could take the Senate, by killing the GOP. All current GOP seats would revert tot eh new TEA PARTY, or be re-elected as TEA PARTY seats. then both houses would be controlled by the TEA PARTY, and come nov 2016 the TEA PARTY could win the presidency and install the first TEA PARTY President. Once that is done, he could go about restoring the American Democracy. I welcome comments: If you think this is crazy, read the history of Abe Lincoln, and the formation of the GOP in 1858, and Abe did not have millions of supporters on the Internet and Social Media. I tell you, that if you gave people this new hope and a new party to rally behind, even some of the young Dems who get their first ACA bill may join.
