The Best of the Forge
For years conservatives have been warning lawmakers that Obamacare would harm the American people because it is unaffordable and unworkable. Contrary to liberals’ protestations, Obamacare is a government takeover of healthcare, and the government has proven woefully inadequate for the task.
In months leading up to the October 1 rollout of the Obamacare exchanges, conservatives battled the failing law intensely, but Democrats, and some Republicans, refused to cooperate. Now millions of Americans are losing the health care plans they liked, despite President Obama’s promise that they could keep their plans under Obamacare. Conservatives’ prescience stands in stark contrast with liberals’ lack of foresight. Hate to say, “We told you so.”
We have received over 1,000 Obamacare stories from you since we posted ourObamacare survey in October. If you’re suffering from this devastating law, you are not alone. You’re joined by New York resident Charlene Nagowski whose premiums have increased $1,300 and Tom Balek of North Carolina whose premiums have doubled and so many others.
Take a look at some more of the testimonies we’ve received. People are furious, and many are resorting to having no health care coverage at all, because now they can no longer afford it.
Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) 13% is now tweeting about the raising the minimum wage because he contends it will “strengthen middle class families, boost economic activity, and help lift the working poor from poverty.” Liberals are notorious for clinging onto ideas that make for good slogans and that would work really well in a fantasy but that have no place in reality.
He would like the federal government to raise the minimum wage, and of course, that sounds nice, but the economic reality is that it would harm the very people it is intended to help, just like Obamacare.
The left’s vision for America has failed us. All too often, the left puts the interests of special interest groups before the American people’s needs. Such is quite obviously the case in the energy sector. Lobbying groups and special interest groups in the green energy sector have a vested financial interest in seeing the decline of oil and gas production. Liberal politicians bow to their demands, and often, to the demands ofradical environmentalists.
And these special interest groups put their money where their mouth is. In 2013, the combined campaign contributions of some of the top lobbying groups in the alternative energy industry amounted to $15,287,158, according to OpenSecrets.org.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) 15% said “We must remain calm when we talk about the health of our country” on MSN’s Meet the Press on Sunday.
