Rasmussen Reports: Americans Paying More for Groceries
88% of adults are saying that they are paying more for groceries now than they did a year ago. Three quarter’s of Americans expect grocery prices to go up in the next year, and about 80% of American’s are at least somewhat concerned about inflation.
Add this with high gas prices (up at least a dollar from this time last year) and 64% of voters believing the country is on the wrong track, and you’re looking at lost confidence in President Obama and his policies.
What this means: Americans overwhelmingly believe that the U.S. is not going to have a booming economy anytime soon. It’s time to change direction and enact policies that have been proven to work, like lowering taxes, passing the free trade agreements, and lessening the regulation burden on corporations so that they can actually hire and prosper.
