What is the Antifa Network?

The Antifa Network is a convoluted web of non-profits funded by secretive, anti-American financiers whose goal is simple: cause chaos and overthrow our system of government.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) is leading the effort to establish a select committee to investigate the Antifa network and associated left-wing terrorism. This proposed committee would investigate the coordination of attacks and seek to uncover the links that hold the Antifa network together.

But exposing these links is only a start when it comes to stopping bad actors. That’s why Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-Texas) introduced the Stop FUNDERs Act (S.2376 / H.R. 4620), which adds violent rioting to the list of RICO offenses. This legislation ensures that those who fund, organize, or coordinate such violence can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The Left’s dark money network funnels cash to their associated nonprofits. These nonprofits then organize protests with the expectation that they will spiral off into riots. Some of the riots involve weapons, shields, and Molotov cocktails. On top of that, they set up bail funds for the rioters that law enforcement managed to arrest — thanks to “generous donations” from the public.

Where Does the Funding Come From?

Funding for the Antifa network is difficult to trace — it’s laundered through countless non-profits, and federal involvement will be key to untangling it. What we do know is that Marxist billionaires like George Soros give grants to many of the associated organizations. Additionally, we know that some organizations are directly funded by our adversaries, like China, Cuba, and even Iran.

How Is the Southern Poverty Law Center Involved?

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is one of the most well-funded gears in Antifa’s machine. The organization runs a “hate” map that places mainstream conservative groups on a list alongside neo-nazi groups and the KKK. This serves as a guiding light for Antifa violence.

In 2012, a terrorist used the SPLC’s map to target the Family Research Council. In 2024, just weeks before Charlie Kirk was assassinated, the SPLC added Turning Point USA to the same list. In 2017, congressional baseball shooter James Hodgkinson, who almost killed Majority Leader Steve Scalise, followed SPLC content that was actively smearing Rep. Scalise.

If we are to put an end to Antifa’s violence, we must cut off their funding.

To accomplish that goal, Congress must do its part and use its investigative authority to uncover the money flows, and enable law enforcement to arrest violators and prosecute those responsible accordingly.
