WASHINGTON — Today, Heritage Action, a conservative organization with two million grassroots activists nationwide, including thousands of Virginians, released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson that applauds the Virginia General Assembly on the passage of HB205 and SB80 and urges Governor Glenn Youngkin to sign these into law immediately.
“Today, the Virginia General Assembly took a step in the right direction and passed important legislation to give the people of Virginia greater confidence that their elections are conducted freely and fairly, without the threat of outside influence. We urge Governor Youngkin to immediately sign this important legislation into law.
Virginia ranks 16th on the Heritage Foundation’s Election Integrity Scorecard—there is still work to be done to secure Virginia's elections. We look forward to continuing working with the General Assembly on future action to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat in the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
