The House Must Fight Now, Not Later

Press Releases · Dec 1, 2014

Washington - According to reports, the Republican-controlled House is preparing to allow "GOP lawmakers an outlet to vent some of their frustrations" with the President. The process described would do nothing to block his unilateral, unlawful changes which include granting quasi-legal status, work permits and Social Security numbers to those who are in the country illegally. Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham:

"The fight is now, not next year. Americans expect real action, not a show vote. Conservatives in Congress must use the power of the purse to block President Obama's executive actions - actions which are opposed by some in his own party. Rather than hand the President a blank check for amnesty, the House should attach a rider to their appropriations bill that stops the President's unlawful amnesty program."
