Washington -- Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham congratulating Republicans for capturing control of the United States Senate:
"Voters delivered a powerful message tonight. Just like the House majority four years earlier, the new Senate Republican majority is built on the repeal of Obamacare. And in a stark departure from conventional wisdom, nearly every newly elected Republican Senator ran against amnesty. As we move forward, Republicans must govern as they campaigned. They must also put forward an agenda that promotes opportunity for all and favoritism to none."
