Washington -- Tonight, President Obama will announce sweeping changes to our nation's immigration laws. Those unilateral, unlawful changes will include granting amnesty and work permits to as many as five million immigrants residing illegally in the country. Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham:
"By asserting a sweeping expansion of presidential powers and ignoring the will of the American people, Barack Obama is precipitating a crisis. Inaction is not an acceptable response. Congress can retain its constitutional authority and fight for hardworking Americans all across the country by denying funding and resources for such a program. Anything less will amount to a blank check for Obama's unlawful amnesty program."
