Michigan's Land Embraces Conservative Transportation Solution

Washington - Yesterday, Michigan's Republican Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land announced her support for a plan similar to the Transportation Empowerment Act, which would empower states to fund and prioritize their own infrastructure projects without costly and unnecessary federal intervention. "It's time to get D.C. out of the way and put Michigan First so we can finally fix our roads," Land said. Heritage Action released the following statement from chief executive officer Michael A. Needham:

"Terri Lynn Land is doing exactly what candidates all across the country should be doing. She is talking about bold ideas that empower states and individuals, not Washington special interests. Returning transportation authority to the state will benefit Michigan motorists, families and businesses."
