Washington, DC—Heritage Action for America today announced its sponsorship of the inaugural Blue Courage one-hour special event, organized by Just The News, to honor our nation’s police officers on Tuesday, October 20th at 8:00PM EST. The event will be broadcast on Real America’s Voice, the Pursuit Channel, and social media.
“America needs its police officers now more than ever, and our law enforcement officers need to know how much America appreciates their sacrifice,” said Jessica Anderson, Executive Director of Heritage Action. “The Blue Courage event is a chance to lift up officers and their families and rally support for those who keep us safe. Heritage Action is grateful for the chance to help spread a message of support for these brave officers to millions of Americans.”
Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens will serve as host and give the first-ever Blue Courage Award to Cindy Chesna, whose husband was killed in the line of duty in Massachusetts two years ago. The select group of panelists for the event include Former NYPD Commissioner Bernie Kerik, Kirk Cameron, Jessica Anderson, Congressman Greg Steube, Cully Stimson of The Heritage Foundation, Ann Dorn, Alexis Bohannon, and special guests.
“It’s our goal with the Blue Courage event to pay tribute to those brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day, some of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of protecting, preserving, and improving our citizens’ quality of life,” said John Solomon, CEO and Editor in Chief of Just the News.
This year, Heritage Action for America created the Police Pledge, which calls on citizens and elected officials to stand with America’s Police and pledge to oppose any bill, resolution, or movement to “Defund the Police.” The pledge has been signed by more than 220,000 citizens and over 500 elected officials and candidates at the national, state, and local levels.
