WASHINGTON—Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization with 2.5 million activists nationwide, including thousands of Arkansans, praised the Arkansas General Assembly’s passage and Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders' signing of HB 1142, a bill focused on improving women’s reproductive healthcare.
Heritage Action Vice President Janae Stracke released the following statement in support of the Reproductive Empowerment and Support Through Optimal Restoration (RESTORE) Act:
“The RESTORE Act is groundbreaking legislation that champions reproductive healthcare for women in Arkansas by prioritizing restorative reproductive medicine and empowering women with the tools they need to thrive. HB 1142 takes critical steps to make this a reality by incorporating fertility awareness-based methods into Title X programs and requiring the Department of Health to integrate information about these methods into existing public health programs.
Arkansas is leading the way in fostering a culture that strengthens families and protects the dignity of every woman. We applaud Governor Sanders and Representative Alyssa Brown for their unwavering commitment and for setting a powerful example for the nation to follow
