Washington - Today, the House will vote on a short-term, retroactive extension of dozens of expired tax breaks, commonly referred to as an extenders package (H.R. 5771). Heritage Action released the following statement from communications director Dan Holler:
"Today's vote illustrates how dysfunctional and broken Washington has become. Lawmakers are being asked to retroactively incentivize investments made during the past 11 months. Each provision should be allowed stand or fall on its own merit, and the vast majority of these provisions would not survive such scrutiny."
